ROUTE A
STARTING AND FINISHING AT:
The Salto Centre Car Park, Charlton, Andover, SP10 4AJ
Route A is based in Andover, combining some streets with Charlton Lakes and Anton Lakes, so there are lots of lovely scenes to take-in along your run. It is a great route for running in daylight.​​
​​​​We use Strava, a popular free app that is designed to show you the running route and, if you wish, track your progress.

The route has the following features:

Start and end at the Salto Centre Car Park in Charlton, Andover

Meet by 6:55pm to begin the run promptly at 7pm

Route is along public footpaths around Charlton Lakes and Anton Lakes and pavements along roadsides.

4.5 km route with only 29 m elevation change

The route has 8 places in the first part of the run where the runners will need to cross the road. It will be the individual runner's responsibility to take the appropriate care in making these crossings. These are:

Across the end of Carter's Meadow (private road)

Across Charlton Road at the crossing point near the roundabout with Goch Way

Across Goch Way at the crossing point just after the Charlton Road roundabout

Across the end of Wetherby Gardens

Across Saxon Way at the crossing point just after the Goch Way roundabout
-
Across Elbe Way
-
Across Coxhaven Way at the roundabout with Kiel Drive

Across Charlton Road at the crossing point next to the bridge carrying Churchill Way West (A343)

Membership:​
Joining the running group is free and intended for adults only because of the road crossings that are on the route.
You will need to join our Whatsapp group using the button above.
​
Before each run, members will need to confirm, using Whatsapp, whether they intend to take part or not in that particular event. This gives us information about the group size that would be arriving for the run.
​
The Whatsapp group will also give members up-to-date information about future runs (dates, time, route, etc) along with any dates that a run might not proceed for some reason.
