Leave Web Testimonial Review on Chris L average rating is 5 out of 5 I attended Willpower this morning, I could not recommend Will highly enough. Great professional set up, he was very professional through out the session. He was understanding and gave me tailored advice on how to improve mobility. I will definitely be using Willpower again and recommending him to others. 20 Mar 2025 Chris A average rating is 5 out of 5 I am a runner and I have received treatment for 2 injuries from Will. First being my knee, 2nd being my IT band. Will gave me treatment on the table and talked through what I should do next. Following his instructions I am running again pain free. I would highly recommend going to see Will. 1 Mar 2025 John Brooks average rating is 5 out of 5 As a Premier League referee, maintaining peak physical performance and recovery is a crucial part of my job. The sports massage sessions with Will were incredibly effective at targeting areas of tension, especially after long matches or intense training sessions. Will is thorough in understanding the unique physical demands of refereeing and tailors each session to focus on my specific needs, helping to relieve muscle tightness and prevent injuries. In addition to massage therapy, the strength and conditioning programs were well-designed, taking into account the endurance, agility, and strength required in my role. 10 Feb 2025 Rebecca Julia average rating is 5 out of 5 I highly recommend Will for sports rehabilitation. He has worked wonders on my quads & shoulders - where previously pain flared up after certain exercises. Will explained in a clear & concise way why I was experiencing the pain and how to prevent this in the future. The exercises completed with him, plus the ones he has taught me to continue at home, have helped me greatly. 8 Jan 2025 Megan Donner average rating is 5 out of 5 I’ve been attending the Willpower 2 Run group since the beginning of September and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made! I was new to running & this group has given me so much encouragement and motivation to keep going. I’m also very introverted and struggle meeting new people but I’ve met so many lovely & kind people through this group, which I never would’ve done if I hadn’t attended a few months ago. Will is also very supportive & encouraging of everyone & will never leave anyone behind! I would highly recommend this group for all levels of experienced runners! 22 Dec 2024 Zoe Ella Taylor average rating is 5 out of 5 I have been attending the Willpower 2 Run run club for the last few months and it has been great! Will is a great support to all runners and takes the time to check in with everyone to make sure they're okay and that no one gets left behind. The club is so friendly and welcoming of all runners regardless of age and ability. 10 Dec 2024 Georgia Churchill-Cooper average rating is 5 out of 5 I’ve been attending the Willpower 2 Run club for the past few months, and it’s been a fantastic experience. It’s the perfect place to rediscover a love for running, with an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere that welcomes runners of all abilities. The group is incredibly friendly and supportive, making it easy to feel at home from day one. Will is attentive and quick to implement feedback, new routes and ensures everyone has a great time. I couldn’t recommend this club more. It’s become a highlight of my week! 7 Dec 2024 Lily Edwards average rating is 5 out of 5 I attended Will’s run club for the first time this week, after numerous attempts to go previously, but i don’t like big groups of people, and worry i am slower than everyone else. I went this week, and everyone was very welcoming, and Will made sure nobody was left behind, not matter their pace. Will made sure everyone was comfortable throughout, and would check in with everyone. Everyone waits at the end, so no matter how slow, you won’t be left behind! I would really recommend Willpower to run, to anyone looking to join their first run club, or to find a new one, and would be great for beginners or advanced runners! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming :) 22 Oct 2024 Chris Alexanda average rating is 5 out of 5 I highly recommend Will for sports rehabilitation. I have been to see him twice... once for pains in my shin and the other time to treat a dodgy knee! On both occasions, he has been very professional. Assessed the area, worked on it and follows up with stretches/exercises for me to do at home. Off the back of this I have attended his running club which is great. A very friendly group of people with a mix ability. If you are thinking of joining and unsure if you will be fit enough... there are multiple groups with mixed ability. Some first time runners all the way up to people that prefer a faster run, so don't be put off... 17 Oct 2024 Will Haslam average rating is 5 out of 5 Been here a few times, received amazing treatment and been aided in recovery for injuries I have had. Very professional. Bespoke training programmes can provide a driver with the strength, stamina and excellent overall fitness to be able to excel at driving a car at high speed for extended periods, as well as taking in their stride the significant g-forces and high temperatures whilst racing. And as drivers progress through racing series, physical training, nutrition coaching and mental preparation become essential to ensure they can perform at their very best. For a very competitive rate, I can provide a driver with whatever level of support is needed, ranging from basic strength and conditioning programmes, through to full race support with bespoke training programmes to help prepare a driver physically and mentally to be as competitive as possible, whilst also providing rehabilitation if needed throughout an event. If you would like support, feel free to discuss your requirements. I am always happy to tailor support based on your needs and budgets - after all, not all aspiring young drivers have the financial support enjoyed by the lucky few!

  • Taping | Willpower SRC

Willpower Sports Rehabilitation and Conditioning, information about Taping TAPING Taping is commonly used as a supplementary or temporary technique. Athletes often make use of taping as a protective mechanism to stabilise or support an existing injury. Some of the goals with taping are to restrict the movement of injured joints, provide soft tissue compression to reduce swelling, support anatomical structures and provide protection from re-injury. Taping is used as one of the means of rehabilitation or as a preventative measure in instances where support and stability are needed, to facilitate normal movement, muscle action or postural patterns. It is also used as a first-aid tool, for the prevention of injury and protection of an injured anatomical structure while healing is taking place and can relieve pain by unloading vulnerable or painful structures. Through a combination of mechanical, neuromuscular and psychological effects, tape is used to: relieve pain improve joint stability enhance athlete confidence reduce injury recurrence prevent injury reduce strain on injured or vulnerable tissues correct faulty biomechanics inhibit or facilitate muscle action enhance proprioception (the ability to sense movement, action and location) compress in the presence of oedema (swelling caused by a build-up of fluid) There are different kinds of tape that can be employed: Rigid strapping tape commonly used in taping or strapping is often referred to as "sports tape" or "athletic tape" and is most often a rigid style of strapping tape. Elastic strapping tape can be used when less rigidity or support is required. Kinesiology tape is an improved version of elastic sports tape that acts to dynamically assist muscle function.

  • Hot Stones Massage | Willpower SRC

Willpower Sports Rehabilitation and Conditioning, information about Hot Stones Massages HOT STONES MASSAGE Hot stone massage uses smooth, heated stones to provide warmth to help relieve pain and tension in your muscles with a combination of heat and massage therapy. Heat is often recommended to help treat aching muscles. Applying heat to an area of the body increases blood flow, which can improve healing. During treatment, basalt stones heated in a water bath are placed on specific points of your body to promote relaxation and to relieve tension. The stones can also be used to apply gentle manual pressure by gliding them along your muscles. The combination of pressure and heat helps to ease muscle stiffness and improve circulation. Benefits of hot stone massage can include: Stress relief: the warmth from the stones along with the gentle pressure applied during therapy can help to reduce stress, leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Muscle relaxation: the warmth from the stones helps to relax tight muscles, allowing the therapist to work more effectively on problem areas. Improved circulation: the hot stones on the skin help to dilate blood vessels, improving blood flow and promoting overall circulation Pain relief: it has been found that heat from the stones can provide relief from chronic pain such as backache and arthritis. Enhanced mental well-being: the calming effects of massage with hot stones can help to relieve anxiety and depression. Is a hot stones massage suitable for everyone? As with many therapies, it is wise to consult a medical professional if you have any ongoing medical conditions as described below to ask for advice about the suitability of the treatment: Medication : if you’re on blood-thinners or any type of medication that induces heat-related side effects Lack of sensation: Some medical conditions provoke a lack of sensation in the body, such as diabetes, neuropathy, MS or high blood pressure. Suppressed immune system: avoid hot stone massage if you have a condition that affects your immune system, such as MS, cancer and lupus. Pregnancy: during later stages of pregnancy, hot stone massage can provoke discomfort. Skin conditions: heat can irritate skin conditions, causing discomfort or prolonging symptoms, so a traditional massage would be a better choice. Such conditions include eczema, burns or psoriasis.
