Safety and Crossing Points:
This 5.44 km summer evening route begins and ends at a central meeting point and follows a mix of pavements, quieter residential roads, and well-maintained trails. With 26 m of elevation gain it is an easy and enjoyable run, perfect for warmer evenings when daylight lasts longer.
While most of the route is along calm streets and trails, there are a few busier crossings, so runners should remain alert. Always slow down as you approach road crossings, check carefully in both directions, make eye contact with drivers when possible, and only cross when it is clearly safe to do so. Safety should always come before pace, group positioning, or keeping with others.

Runner Considerations:
Some sections involve running on or close to the road, so runners should stay in single file and wear brightly colored clothing to remain visible. Trail sections may be slightly uneven, so take care around roots, rocks, or soft ground. Pay attention around corners and bends, especially where visibility is limited, and be mindful of other trail users such as walkers, dog walkers, and cyclists. Summer conditions generally provide dry and stable surfaces, making it easier to enjoy both the streets and trail sections safely.

For runners who prefer a slightly shorter option there is a 4.5 km variation on the same course that still includes many of the same paths and sights, giving flexibility for different paces and time constraints.

Route Completion:
This summer-adapted loop returns to the starting point after a scenic mix of town paths, quiet residential streets, and trails through green spaces. It is ideal for mid-week evening runs, relaxed social sessions, or maintaining training consistency while enjoying longer daylight, pleasant summer temperatures, and a variety of running surfaces.
