Safety and Crossing Points:
The route includes a mix of quiet residential crossings and a few busier roads. While many crossings are on side roads and cul-de-sacs, some are on more trafficked streets, and extra care is needed. It is each individual runner’s responsibility to ensure their own safety at crossings.
Please take extra caution at the following crossings:
-
Across Bridge Street, then follow the Anton River walk up to Asda
-
Across Leyton Path, continuing onto Barlows Lane
-
Across Norman Court Lane and onto Watery Lane
-
Note: There is no pavement on this section – please run in single file and stay alert to traffic
-
Across Watery Lane to rejoin Leyton Path up toward Western Avenue and The Station pub
-
Crossing at The Station Pub onto Junction Road, turning right under the underpass, and looping back down Western Avenue past Lidl and the Bus Station

Runner Considerations:
-
Be aware that this is a shared-use route and is popular with walkers, especially dog walkers
-
Some areas may be uneven or narrow – please remain alert at all times
-
Obey road safety rules and remain cautious at all crossings
-
Run in single file when on roads or narrow paths without pavements

Route Completion:
The run ends where it began – at Town Mills Car Park – after a scenic loop around Andover including riverside paths, local trails, and familiar roads.
We look forward to seeing you out there for a great evening run!

Membership:
Joining the running group is free and intended for adults only because of the road crossings that are on the route.
You will need to join our Whatsapp group using the button above.

Before each run, members will need to confirm, using Whatsapp, whether they intend to take part or not in that particular event. This gives us information about the group size that would be arriving for the run.

The Whatsapp group will also give members up-to-date information about future runs (dates, time, route, etc) along with any dates that a run might not proceed for some reason.
