Safety and Crossing Points:
The route includes a combination of quiet residential crossings and several busier roads. Although many of the crossings are on side streets and cul-de-sacs with lighter traffic, there are points along the route where runners will need to cross more heavily used roads. At these locations, traffic may be moving at higher speeds or visibility may be reduced, so extra care and awareness are essential.
It is the responsibility of each individual runner to ensure they cross safely at all times. Please:
-
Slow down as you approach all road crossings
-
Check carefully in both directions before stepping into the road
-
Make eye contact with drivers where possible
-
Only cross when it is clearly safe to do so
Your safety must always take priority over pace, group positioning, or staying with others.

Runner Considerations:
-
Be aware that this is a shared-use route and is popular with walkers, especially dog walkers
-
Some areas may be uneven or narrow – please remain alert at all times
-
Obey road safety rules and remain cautious at all crossings
-
Run in single file when on roads or narrow paths without pavements

Route Completion:
The run ends where it began – at Town Mills Car Park – after a scenic loop around Andover including riverside paths, local trails, and familiar roads.
We look forward to seeing you out there for a great evening run!
