Willpower 2 Run x PIK Padel & Café

We're excited to be teaming up with PIK Padel & Café for a special community running event, bringing together runners and padel enthusiasts for a morning of fitness, connection, and fun.

Join us for a social run starting and finishing at PIK Padel & Café, where you'll enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to meet like minded people from across the local community. Whether you're a regular at Willpower 2 Run, a PIK Padel member, or joining us for the first time, everyone is welcome.

​

This collaboration is all about encouraging people to get active, try something new, and experience the benefits of being part of a supportive community. Running is about more than just the miles. It is about building friendships, improving physical and mental wellbeing, and enjoying shared experiences with others.

​

Following the run, you'll have the opportunity to experience padel with a free taster session on one of PIK Padel's three premium courts. Whether you've never picked up a racket before or you're looking to give the sport a go, this is the perfect chance to discover why padel is one of the UK's fastest growing sports.

​

After the padel session, you're welcome to relax in the café, where you'll be able to purchase a post run coffee along with a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats while catching up with fellow runners and players.

​

Bring your friends, lace up your running shoes, and join us for a fantastic morning of running, padel, coffee, great food and community.

 

We encourage everyone to arrive a few minutes early to meet fellow runners before we set off. Whether you're training for an event, getting back into running, or simply looking for a friendly group to run with, we'd love to see you there.

Route Overview:

Total Distance: 5.3 km

Elevation Gain: 42 m

Surface: Mixed terrain including roads, pavements, footpaths, and trails

Footwear: Choose appropriate shoes for both road and trail running – some areas may be uneven

Ideal For: Spring and summer evening runs

Shorter Route Option available if preferred (4 km with 32 m elevation)

Safety and Route Information

This social run starts and finishes at PIK Padel & Café, with the majority of the route following quieter roads and local footpaths. As this is a social community run, we encourage everyone to stay together where possible, look out for one another, and enjoy the opportunity to meet fellow runners.

​

While the route uses mainly quieter roads, there will still be moving traffic. For everyone's safety, we ask that runners do not wear headphones so they can hear approaching vehicles, instructions from the run leaders, and other runners. Please stay in single file where appropriate, be courteous to pedestrians, cyclists, and dog walkers, and take extra care at all road crossings by checking both directions before crossing safely. Safety should always come before pace.

Post Run Activities

Following the run, everyone is invited to enjoy a free padel taster session on one of PIK Padel's three premium courts. Whether you're completely new to the sport or have played before, it's a great opportunity to give padel a try in a relaxed and friendly environment.

​

Afterwards, you're welcome to unwind in the café, where you can purchase a well deserved post run coffee along with a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats while catching up with fellow runners.

​​Apps We Use

We use Strava, a popular and free app that allows you to view running routes, record your activities, and track your progress over time. Participation is optional, but it’s a great way to stay motivated and see how far you’ve come.

​

We are also a registered group on the parkrun website. This means you can support Willpower 2 Run by representing the group at your local parkrun every Saturday morning, helping to raise awareness while being part of a friendly and supportive running community.
