

Winter Route 2 is based in Andover, to the central part of the town, with parking available at Town Mills car park.
It is a great route for running in autumn/winter as it is fully lit and all paved.
​​​​We use Strava, a popular free app that is designed to show you the running route and, if you wish, track your progress.

The route has the following features:

Start and end at the Town Mills Car Park in Andover (free parking after 4pm)

Meet by 6:55pm to begin the run promptly at 7pm

Route is along pavements and footpaths around the central part of Andover, fully paved along the route.

Route is fully lit, so ideal for autumn/winter running (high-vis and/or head/body torch might be worth considering)

5.2 km route with only 39 m elevation change​

The route has places where you will need to cross normally quiet side roads and cul-de-sacs.
Some crossings are across busier through-roads and these are the ones listed below to highlight the need for caution.
It will be the individual runner's responsibility to take the appropriate care in making these crossings.

Across the A3057 Western Avenue at the Station Inn (traffic light pedestrian crossing)

Across Western Road to head along Suffolk Road

Across the top of Mead Road to head along Salisbury Road

Across Salisbury Road to head up to Co-op and down Millway Road

Across at the end of Mylen Road down Charlton Road to head towards the Folly Roundabout

Across the A3057 Western Avenue at the Folly (traffic light pedestrian crossing)

Across West Street and head up towards Chantry Street

Across Newbury Street and head down the A3057

Across George Yard and continue on the A3057 towards Eastern Avenue

Across Wicnhester Street and Bridge Street to head back towards Town Mills Car Park​

We are also a registered group on the parkrun website. This means you can support Willpower 2 Run by representing the group at your local parkrun every Saturday morning, helping to raise awareness while being part of a friendly and supportive running community.
